SSE4.1 Not detected by CPU really does support it.

Brick
I can't use SSE4.1 and my Intel CPU does have SSE4.1.

It's not very common CPU, its Xeon X5450 running on LGA775 mobo.

Here are the specs that shows it's instructions:

My cpu is overclocked to 4.0Ghz but I get random lag in Gran Turismo 4 using SSSE3. I am hoping SSE4.1 would help.

Is there anything I can do to bypass the detection?

Thanks in advance.

Your link is no good.

Anyway, that CPU simply doesn't have the single threaded performance that PCSX2 needs. You can enable MTVU, and maybe set the EE cyclerate speedhack, but I doubt you will get full speed with a cpu that has 1275 single threaded. With your overclock, you probably have somewhere around 1500 single threaded, but that is still low for GT4. Need about 1800.

Most likely this one;

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200

Yeah that's the link ^ Thanks Ryudo

I am getting 55-75fps. and it either speeds up or slows down too much.

I tried MTVU and increasing EE cyclerate. and it plays very fast most of the time with random slow downs.

Then my single core performance is not that far from 1800:

Then you should be good. (That's a heck of an increase on a 25% OC BTW)

As for the SSE thing, dunno. Sometimes PCSX2 gets it wrong. Did you try the SSE4.1 plugin just to see?

Of course, it tell me my CPU doesn't support SSE4.1.

Maybe post in the GSdx thread and hope gabest notices.

Maybe you can check what happens if you put it in directly:

1. Go to your ini-Folder (in program directory for portable/beta builds or under my documents\pcsx2 for the installer)
2. Open PCSX2_ui.ini
3. Look for "[Filenames]"
4. Replace current gs plugin by the one you want to use.

I never tried this... but maybe it skips the instruction detection.
