Slow Motion-ish
#1
So, while playing KH2, the game sometimes is in slow motion. This isn't a framerate issue as the framerate usually reads from 30-60. The game and sometimes sound for short periods of time is sort of in slow motion.

It is a framerate issue. PCSX2 needs to be running at 60 FPS constantly to get full speed. Post your PC specs and what version of PCSX2 you're running.

Tell us your computer's specs and maybe we can help you get a few more FPS.

And metalmallow is right, the FPS in PCSX2 represents the speed of the emulation, not necessarily the graphics FPS. So 30 FPS means the emu is running at half speed. That means graphics, sound, everything.

I'm not very familiar with computers, I just know some basics, but all of my specs are in Start>Right click on "Computer"> Properties right? Just tell you all of that? And I'm running PCSX2 1.0.0

Go get Speccy

Run it, and either take a screenshot of the first page, or type it in for us. The correct screen will look like this:

It looks like a really old laptop. You can try enabling some speedhacks and see if they improve your performance.

Which ones? Ya, this was originally my sisters laptop, then my moms, and now mine. It's got a lot of pretty useless stuff and should probably be reformatted. I don't really mess with the speedhacks because I'm not sure which ones do what.

Enable all the recommended ones and move the EE cycle rate to 1 to see if it helps. I think Kingdom Hearts 2 is one of the least demanding games for PS2, so you might have to forget playing KH2 on PCSX2 till you have a better machine.
