Slowdowns with Vista Home Premium!!
#11
Er... I said I already disabled all visual effects, which means I have Aero disabled, doesn't it? And no! Those annoying slowdowns still happen either with dx9 or dx10! My processor is supposed to be able to run FFX full speed because it has done it before! What happen? Slowdowns are whenever they want, in fact almost all time... I know I could use speedhacks, but the processor could run it well without them. They are only a matter of luxe...

Hmm, try to set the power saving stuff all to disabled.
My Vista decided that only 1 PCI-E lane is enough once Tongue2

Hmm, if with that case, perhaps you have to change your OS to your own previous OS or XP then, maybe..... By the way, i play game with pcsx2 almost with speed hack x2 cycle rate to get better fps and most case i didnt meet an isu like unsycn. Between frames and sound or have a gimmick fps. Also i play in directx10 mode to get better fps, with my HD3870 512mb.

Im absolutery sure. In Persona 3 FES DX 10 mode slower on 30 fps then DX 9, for example. In Grandia 3 DX 10 mode slower on 3-5 fps then DX9 etc...

In most times i set fps limited coz many games runnin too fast Smile and 1280*1024 res, as my desktop resolution. Native res i used for some 2d games only, like Ar tonelico 2 etc...

So when you say "Persona 3 FES DX 10 mode slower on 30 fps then DX 9" do you mean you have like 75fps on dx9 and 45fps on dx10, or because you have a higher intern res you get lower fps on dx10 since 2600xt is kinda weak i know since a have one.

Indeed, Persona 3 FES had 81-83 fps on DX9 and 51-53 fps on DX10 with same setting(tested on my old AMD @2.6) including 1280*1024 res. 2600XT is enough for Pcsx2 if you dont go over 1280*1024 for some games like Grandia 3.

That means that by now that you have a super cpu you get max fps on dx10 on limited.

Vista eats the memory, try on high, DX10 IS faster (SSE2 seems to be the fastest choice for me at least)
