The load increases when the snowflakes accumulate on the bottom of the page. It returns to normal when you load another page because it gets cleared on every reload

I didn't say it Safari couldn't render the snow. It renders it perfectly. It just causes the browser to feel sluggish when responding or creating a new topic. Typing has a slight lag to it that's a real nuisance.

How often do you use your HTC Desire Mobile Phone to browse and respond to these discussions? I posted my complaint because I was 3,000 miles from home in a hotel room and all I had was that iPad. And an iPad mini. I never have any issues responding on the iPad without the snow.

Still, I would expect a way to turn it off. And I haven't found one. What's more bizarre is the discussion of CPU and GPU usage revolving around the snow. Why would you want a pointless javascript to have any impact on your system resources?

I quite frequently use my HTC Desire to post on the forums or just browse. However when replying the phone pauses the snow rendering anyway But Dolphin Browser is pretty quick on it.
