Snowblind engine still unplayable?

No, it was applied to both executive files that appear in my screenshot above. I was running them on the 4gb patch. The issue is that the menu past the load/memory card options seems to eat away at processor speed, maxing it and crashing the game.

Once I got in, through the menu where you select your class and into the open world/actual game, it was lag free albeit with massive graphical errors.

GSdx: out-of-memory, texturing temporarily disabled
My bad on the double post, it won't let me delete it.

@Refraction, I'm running this file right here http://gyazo.com/3cfcb2be23913a6088377c96b3ceea9a which I got from the svn; revision 5620. The screenshot with the graphics was with the latest SVN being ran, without the 4gb patch.

You're still using an old version that had the corrupted graphics, this was only fixed after the 1.0.0 release, please download the latest SVN from here: http://pcsx2.net/download/development/svn.html then apply the 4gb patch to the pcsx2.exe and run it.

The file the SVN offers is 1.0.0.r5350
I just uninstalled pcsx2 and reinstalled it again. Same graphics. Menu still crashes. Was the issue fixed in one of the previous revisions but reapplied in one of the more late ones?

no it doesn't the file the svn offers is the latest svn build, you are downloading the 1.0.0 release. please get the latest version from the link i showed you which is r5620 (The heading should say 1.1.0 r5617)

Ill make it easier for you download and extract everything from the file from here: http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/index.php?m=detail&rev=5620&platform=windows-x86

But this is why I'm confused because I actually have really downloaded this thing twice now, extracted it, and installed it. http://gyazo.com/aeb867471a4471cf9b226f5354abd8ee I don't see what I'm doing wrong.

And then please check for that crash in the video you reported. Once without the 4GB patch and once with it.
This is important as we're looking for issues with that patch.

The SVNs are standalone. You dont have to install them. Just download, extract and run.

The OP should see two executable in there, pcsx2.exe and the other named after the actual building. Patch one of them, let's say pcsx2.exe and run from it, take not results, then try with the build named exe which will be unpatched then.

PS: I tried the game just now (despite it still is a bigger slowdown in software mode for me due to my CPU is not strong enough)... but I have no save point near where it's supposed to crash. What I have to report is without the patch the game get's many out of memory messages, what could suggest memory leaking.

Alright, I thought extracting the file updated the 1.0.0 version. It actually just created another pcsx2. Thanks, trying it now.

Edit: There was no crash. I'll upload a video and post gameplay with and without the 4gb patch.
Thanks for the assistance, I apparently suck at finding files, after reinstalling PCSX2 version 1.0.0 four times.

Edit 2: It has awful commentary, and I forgot to mention I was running it in software mode (I put that in the description), but it's uploading now.
Here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qJGhY1sedU It was extremely slow, but it worked. I didn't find any crashes although I didn't play the game far in.
