I installed the nVidia framework. I noticed the BIOS is empty in the config window... is that why it's not working? I'm sure it's not a problem with the game ISOs, since they've worked with a windows version of pcsx2.
FYI I run on the new macbook pros that came out last week!
intel quad-core i7 2.3 Ghz
8 GB RAM @ 1333 Mhz DDR3
Intel Radeon HD 6750M

I certainly hope specs aren't what's slowing down the performance.

in fact you have to extract the bios from your PS2 and integrate it to pcsx2 as stated in the guide linked above.

Little of topic,What is iR3000A ? Isn't iR5900 core of PS2 ?

iR3000A is the IOP side of the PS2 (yep half the PS2 is a PS1)
