Software mode runs a lot slower after 1.3.1.1415

I didn't mean system bottleneck either. The fact that setting extra rendering threads from 0 to 4 on a quad core with HT makes no difference is the matter here. Especially before 1416, I was getting full speed with 4 extra threads.

There IS a bottleneck. Even if it's in PCSX2. If there was no bottleneck there would be no problem.

You still haven't stated your CPU usage.

It uses roughly 50% at 2 and 4 threads and 25% with 0 threads.

But that's like essentially saying I have to downgrade my i7 to a i5 to properly run pcsx2. Will this ever be fixed?

If you want this issue to be fixed, you will want to pinpoint the cause of the issue first. Have you tested it?
