Some kinda texture bug? (Ar Tonelico 2/Mana Khemia 2)
#21
No, the source isn't there (even though they claim it is) that's why it violates the GPL license it is under (and I have to remove the link..)

There's some source posted, but seems older than its release and weird compared to its supposed revision number. Still, I couldn't find nothing interesting but some color convertions and such. I'll check your claims naoan and if it fixes something I'll mess with it.

#EDIT: Yup, some filtering lines on the sprites ain't there on that other plugins. Gonna check some of the changes then.
#EDIT2: Wait, those lines doesn't seem to show on Dx9 HW either. #EDIT3: Yup, just use Dx9. #EDIT4: Or disable 8bit textures.

Already tried almost every gsdx option but the exclusive dx9 hack (logarithmic z and one other), only software mode fix the bug for me. Maybe ATI only bug?

Edit: Tried the remaining DX9 hack, no dice. I'll try the game on my friend's 6870 tomorrow. The bug tracker is still open btw, if you have any solution maybe you should post it there krossx http://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/issues/detail?id=428

Well, I didn't reached a battle point but ArT2 intro looked fine as long as I didn't enable 8bit textures on Dx11. This is with a Radeon card also. I'll test further on, but also didn't find anything on that source that could actually fix anything (not to mention that it's actually incomplete). I'll check that patch on the Issue later.

Um, I only got the bug on the battle scene, everything else is more or less fine.

Alright, I found a good test point (still during the intro). The seams don't go away with anything unless Software mode is used, and not even that hacked plugin looks any different on the issue. Good. (as a test point that is) XD

That's basically texture filtering glitch which comes as a free bonus with upscaling, either using native res, turning off texture filtering completely or using software mode fixes it, a bit pity those chinese doesn't share source, but it's probably some very hacky fix anyway.

Oh my, yes it goes away without filtering (not native res, sadly). But the hacked plugin ain't any different anyway. The other... error on the sprites, goes away disabling 8bit textures.

#EDIT: GSDX build using the patch on Issue 428: http://www.mediafire.com/?j335r7p52z5hz6d
#EDIT2: I forgot I had also replaced FXAA with another shader, sorry. XD

Okay, I'm not sure if we even talk about the same bug here, so just to clear things up :

Here's gsdx : http://i.minus.com/ibt617Sykn91Il.png
Here's the gpl-violating hacked version : http://i.minus.com/ibnlpn9rqgb0ev.png

Oh and miseru is right (I thought I had tried turning texture filtering completely), but that's kinda defeat the purpose of using pcsx2 for me ;_;.

Will try your gsdx compile Krossx, thanks. Smile

Edit: oh wow it's fixed, thanks again Krossx. (And the shader is a nice bonus, I like it Tongue2).
Edit2: Aaand poof it goes, the patch somehow made the game prone to crashing, nearly had heart attack when it did on save screen. T_T
