Some newbie questions
#1
Ok some noobie questions and certain things I wanted to be clarified.

1) I have the latest PCSX2 version and have configured it and I also have the required BIOS. I got it to work just now and have just tried a single game and that is Resident Evil 4. I have an E4500 2.2 GHz C2D, 2GB RAM and 512MB GDDR3 8800GT and still the game lags... and it lags like hell! I tried turning down the resolution to 1024x768 (my native is 1440x900) and still it lags. My FPS is not capped and still the game lags. The sound is also stuttering and it's not synced at all properly even though I have configured the sound plugin well. Any help to stop the game lagging will be appreciated. I also tried enabling the speed hacks.

2) How to exit PCSX2 ? lol i know this is a stupid question but still... I enabled the misc. hack to exit PCSX2 by pressing the ESC key but it dosent work and I have to restart my PC to exit it Laugh

Plugins settings ?

Moreover, your CPU's quite weak. Try to enable speedhacks, use native res in gsdx config
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

So what are your suggestions for a speed up and how the heck do I exit PCSX2 ?
Hey BTW, I have a 2.2Ghz C2D whereas the PS2 uses a single core CPU and I have 2GB RAM plus an 8800GT 512MB GDDR3 GPU... both which are much powerful than the PS2's components then why does the games still lag ?

disable the escape hack, enable "Misc->Close GS Window on Esc" and in Lilypad (if you're using it) disable the "Hide on fullscreen escape" Smile

because emulation takes more power than the device being emulated Smile (like around 8 or so times)
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 OC to 3.6GHz, Intel GMA x4500, 1GB DDR2
