So you gotta get a new mobo too then haha.

Well, I get can a new mobo without having to rebuild an entirely new PC. Everything else is fine. Just needs a new cpu/mobo combo, I guess.

Will probably just pick this up from the store next week: http://www.microcenter.com/product/41325...MD+-+Top+2

Unless anyone can spot a cheaper one?
That's cheaper than my i5 4440.

pcsx2 console shows the features your machine supports on start up under

x86 Features Detected:

near the top. Amd's features are different then Intel's.

To activate console it is in misc menu, show console

In Revision 5908 changing the EE cycle rate higher the 3 is possible by editing the PCSX2_vm.ini file change setting EECycleRate=x anywhere from 3 to 99. This might give you a speed boost but might cause game issues. You are warned!

you still would probably need new RAM... maybe even a new psu. And since these ssd's are somehow quite nice...

That the GPU-socket standard (PCIe) was more or less fixed for a couple of years now is good for compatibility.. but everything else needs to be updated if you replace one part...
