SotC won't run right.

yep.

but the game you chose is a VERY demanding one.

Unless you have a very fast dual core CPU (~3.5 ghz) and a~good GPU (at least Geforce 8600 )

You will barely reach 30 fps using speedhacks and native res
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

GeForce 8600 is better than a HD 4870? I know little about such things. I figured my CPU might be to blame. Know of a good rpice for a faster CPU that goes well with this rig?

I said "at least". I have it, and in native res, it's kinda ok.
Dunno about good cpus, though.
intel dual cores are very good with pcsx2

well, seems that your cpu really is too slow for this game, but could you post screens of your gsdx, speedhacks, cpu and advanced settings of pcsx2? i can't believe yet, that your cpu performs that much slower in this game than mine. oh, and try running the game in software mode, set the renderer in the gsdx settings to "dx 10 (software)" and put a 3 into "sw rend. threads".

You have the same CPU I have. I would consider looking into overclocking. With a proper fan, you can get a very nice, stable overclock with the Q6600(See my sig!)

I run SotC at 60 FPS pretty much 100%

Want to stream your games? Let me know and I can help you get set up with Open Broadcaster Software.

I really appreciate the help, guys. I think I'm just gonna call it on this one. It's too much hassle for a guy who only dabbles in all this computer stuff. Thanks again.
