Sound and "fps" problems
#1
Hi all.

I am new to this whole emulator thing, I just downloaded the emulator. I managed to get it working, I am currenctly playing Fatal Frame 2, but I have a(two) little problem.
The game is running pretty good, it runs at 60 fps, but sometimes it just stops for a sec(actually less than a sec, just like milisecs, but it is annoying). Because it is running at 60 fps I don't think my PC is weak for it. What could be the problem?

The other problem is with the sound. At first there was no sound at all. I managed to fix that, but now the sound, sometimes is choppy(i don't really know the right word for it) Not always, just sometimes. It's like the sound just stops for a few milisecs and start again, and this repeats 3 times usually and after that it's good again for a while.

I hope I could write everything down properly so someone can help me.
If you need anything more just ask.
Thanks.

I am using an ISO and playing on a notebook.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3230M 2.6 Ghz(turbo boost 3.2 Ghz)
VGA: Nvidia GT740M 2GB
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Win7 64b
I am using the latest PCSX2. I think 1.2.1.

Everything is on default, except the resolution, the ratio. And I had to change the sound settings to make it work.

Yes, I always using it on High Performance.
I don't think it's performance issue because it runs at 60 fps except that one drop in every few minutes.
Maybe the problem is with the ISO itself?
And the sound problems?

Sound fix:

Config->Audio->Plugin settings. Change timestretch to async mix.

For the other, check your temps with coretemp and please post back.

I will try that sound fix tomorrow.

About the other thing, where can I find that thing what you said?

Edit: Oh "temps" like temperature Laugh Okay, I will check, but when? While playing the game?

Yes, while playing the game, when the slowdown happens.
