Speed Bug !! (150+ FPS minimum speed)
#1
Hi, i downloaded Pcsx2 9.8 ver (i was using 9.6) i set emulation setings on agressive and started playing FFXII, after a few hours (1 or 2) my emulation speed was like 150 - 200 FPS i was moving way fast Smile but the window was showing 40-60 fps , it bugged dont know why or how, i got a vid on youtube, (/watch?v=CGJhG6SSh08) check it out, it seems laggy but it's NOT it just cuz of the recorder, what i want is to know how to control this speed bug cuz its really useful on EXPing. Thanks.

If you mean you set the "preset" bar to aggressive then you enabled the EE/VU cycle speedhacks which can give that kind of results (false FPS, wrong speeds, etc).

Anyway it's not a bug but a consequence of having enabled the speedhacks.

With F4 you activate the frame limit 60 FPS, the game will run at normal speed and the press F4 again when you want it to run faster for leveling.
CPU: I7 4790K 4.0Ghz
GPU: GeForce GTX 970 (4GB)
RAM: Corsair 16GB 1600Mhz
OS: Windows 10 x64

I know how it works Normal/None/Turbo, when it goes to None and Turbo its goes around 70-80 fps max. But i am talking about having 200 fps while showing 60 fps.

"FFXII" - any chance you mean "international" version?Tongue2 It had a "feature" when you press L1 or L2(or was it R?) you could double the speed, nothing really to do with pcsx2 as it's game feature:3.

thats not how it works

F4 is capped / uncapped
TAB is Capped / Capped Turbo

F4 switches uncapped with whatever capped mode you have currently enabled with tab.
