Star Ocean 3 Patch Help Please
#11
It seems
Code:
SPx4 after level up
patch=1,EE,E0029821,extended,004014F4
patch=1,EE,20401564,extended,00139880
is wrong

it does not have sense

E0029821 004014F4
means IF data in address 04014F4 is equal to 9821 the skips the next 002 cheats ... its wrong because the cheat only have 2 lines ¿?¿?
it seems CB2crypt fails to decrypt the original cheat

Anyway try this code

patch=1,EE,E0011021,extended,004014F4
patch=1,EE,20401564,extended,00139880

LOL what the...that's weird Wacko it worked fine for folx4...that's really strange...haha thanks though Smile i'll try it out when i get home hehe.

and im also curious...if the codes from the codetwink site are all diffrent...even for codes that are like x4SP, x8SP, how come after they're decrypted it's only the last couple characters in the last 8 numbers that change? do you know what i'm asking? lol not sure if im making n e sense Tongue

Because the encryption algorimth works this way.

Each line is encrypted alone, but inside one line each character encryption depends from other characters in the same line so a change in one character in the original makes the encrypted one all different.

Actually it is more complicated, take it like a simple description

ah icic haha thanks for the explanation lol..i took programming in high school but ahah thought it was somewhat similar in terms of parsing and stuff Tongue

oh btw, how did you decrypt it then? manually? like the adjust code for the x4SP

Instinct .... nop i haven't decrypted it, i look at the rest of the 2x and 4x codes, and

patch=1,EE,E0011021,extended,004014F4
patch=1,EE,20401564,extended,00139880

seems ok. I don't have Star Ocean 3 so i can't test it

It's like the games where you have to select the next number in a secuence.

But maybe the one that copied the code into codetwink did some codes wrong, (there are some duplicated codes inside Star Ocean 3, two different codes are the same) page, and maybe is impossible to guess what is wrong.

oh icic..instinct huh haha hardcore. i'll try out the code you suggested in a few hours. thanks for your help! Smile i hope it works lol

and yea not all codes work for some reason Wacko especialyl the ones that are specific numbers...like the after the battle codes that give u a specific amount of something dont work.

hrmm...i just tested it and strange thing is...it works in the sense that there's no errors or anything but when i lvl up, it only shows that i got x2 the amount...EVEN in the menu too

The code from Pontifice doesn't work as well. The only code that works is the x2 code. all others (yes is use "extended") doesn't work, you always get 2x SP, not 4x or 8x.
