Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time Black screen when swapping disc
#1
Hi guys!
As the title said, I'm getting black screen when swapping to disc 2 while playing this game. I've tried multiple times to restart the game and I still get a black screen. I even tried to start up from disc 2 and load my save file but I got the same result. Tried google my problem and it seems no one had encountered this kind of problem before.

Any ideas how to fix this?
I'm playing the undub version if that matters.

My specs:
I7-3630QM @2.4GHZ (8CPU)
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M

Playing on:
pcsx2 1.2. (r5875)
all default setting

Thanks in advance, guysBiggrin

It does matter that you are playing the Undub. That can break stuff.

You can't directly disc swap in some games, either. You have to save at the end of first disc, close PCSX2, reboot to second disc, load. It seems you've tried that though.

Anyway post emulog.txt after a crash. You can find it in My Documents/PCSX2/logs or just PCSX2/logs.

Does it work if you try without applying an undub patch ?

Most likely the CRC for the undub of Disc 2 is not being detected. So the automatic gamefix isn't being applied, resulting in the black screen.

Try applying the gamefix: VU Add Hack manually, and then restart with that. See if it works then.

That's a good idea.

I didn't patch it myself since I got the patched one from somewhere I don't remember.

I just did that and I still stuck at this black screen.

I did it undub and there was no problems, try to load your game from a real savegame and not with F3, or try with another iso.
