Star Ocean 3 working with Disc 2 & not Disc 1
#1
Hi all!

I need some advise on getting my .ISO star ocean 3 disc 1 to work.

The 2nd disc would just open up as per normal whereas the 1st disc would have a black screen after the "Playstation 2" part.

Plugins that are use as follows:

Graphics - GSDX 890 (MSVC 15,00 SSE41) 0.1.14
CDVDrom - Linuz ISO CDVD
Sound - SPU2-X 1.1.0

The result is the same even after i used Run -> Execute.

Are you remembering to use the "Tri-ace game fix" from the special gamefix menu?

Also note that to get playable speed from this game, you will have to update to the latest beta (revision 1888) which runs this game something along the lines of 300% faster as compared to 0.9.6 stable.

Without the fix won't work at all. Again, try updating to the latest beta revision (1888) from the download section of the forum or the website. Besides being much faster for this game, it has better compatibility in general.

InnuGami:
If you were using the 0.96 version, the black screen you got was a hanging fmv.
The fix would be to press start.
We fixed the fmv hang in the beta however, so now it works just as expected.

Actually this game runs really slow for me aswell using any recent version of Gsdx. Im using Gsdx10 0.1.4 and it works great. If your graphic card doesnt support DX10 I tried Gsdx9 0.11.4 and that also works good.

GPU: GTX 560Ti 2Gb

Yeah, could be you're using some version of the game we don't recognize.
In that case the last fast version will be GSdx 0.1.7.
