Star Ocean Till The End of Time Error
#1
Hi, people o/ After days searching anonimosly through the forum, I've got the guts to creat a tread...

Whenever i try to run Star Ocean Till The End of Time, PCSX2 crashes :/

The making of the ISO is OK

Then I load it to the respective driver at the config of PCSX2
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_yENkmAmzRnU/Se1e2h...s800/2.jpg

Then I try to run the game
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_yENkmAmzRnU/Se1e2k...s800/3.jpg

And always get that
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_yENkmAmzRnU/Se1e2w...s800/4.jpg

My config
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_yENkmAmzRnU/Se1e27...s800/5.jpg
P5K-SE
E2160 1.8 -> 2.5
2gb 667
9600GT

Anyone know why do this happen? I looked at the compatility list, and it says SOTEoT is playable.

Thanks in advance.

Also I'd like to say that i am actualy playing Stela Deus on 60 fps, after configuring over and over again.

I also noted that a config wich works fine for a game doesn't suit to another. So woudn't be a good idea if we could make a type of profile to save our configs of the PCSX2 for a certain game and load it later when needed? Just a wonder.

....oh my... Tried that ONLY now after you guys mentioned it... I totally forgot about this option...

But, anyway, just got a blackscreen, my mouse didn't move for a sec and, after that, my download of Happy World vol 07 failed. Still, the game did'nt work. I will try with some different configs now. At least the emulator don't just close at mey face.
Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the game shows you black screen but if you press Start it will go to the main screen

Thx! Pressing START by the black screen really did bring me to the main menu. The game run very slow, i will try a hack i had see in another thread here.
Thx a lot!

My problem, after all, was just to pay attention...

Hmm, so basically it can't play the intro. I wonder if square enix games are built different then other ps2 games.

square enix aren't. Tri-ace games are.

Newest builds also fix the fmv.
Edit: And yeah, with ps2 games basically each and every game is built differently!

Oh, well if you don't mind my asking. How are Tri-ace games significantly different? And how come games like FFX run near perfect, and then ones like SO3, or MGS3 run slow? I'm not criticizing the emu or anything, just finding my self curious and intrigued is all.

Oh on that subject, my disc for so3 broke. If I found an iso from some where, could I play it from there? Or do I have to burn it on a disc. Yeah, i'm still pretty new at this.
