Steering Damping for gamepads
#1
Question
There is a "Steering Damping" option in the steering wheel settings.

But the same option is simply necessary for gamepads!  Smile  This will make the control of the gamepad in simulators perfect. Because it is on gamepads that the main problem is the excessive sensitivity of the steering sticks.
It is very strange that there is such an option for handlebars, but not for gamepads... Huh

you can adjust sensitivity and deadzones for sticks, already.
so, no need

Have you tried to adjust the sensitivity of the sticks with the current functionality?  Mellow  It simply stretches or compresses the scope of the stick. If you set the sensitivity to 70%, for example, then the stick in the game will work for exactly 70% of its turn. This is more like a bug, because the game will not work correctly when 70% of the stick is pressed.
The "Steering Damping" option works differently - it builds sensitivity along a curve: at the beginning it is low, and at the end it is high. But the stick works at 100% of its turn. This is how the sensitivity setting works in all good games.

Is this how it's supposed to work on your real ps2, though ?
anyways, if ajusting sentivity + deazones aren't enough, PRs are welcome
