That's weird.
I remember overclocking my Duron 750 quite a long time ago. (oc'ed it to 800Mhz).
DO you mean it's absolutely impossible to overclock non-K cpus ?

I thought it was possible to get a stable overclock, even if overall gain was of course smaller than K models ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

It's not absolutely impossible as I said in my original reply to you. But the gains are gonna be really tiny and not even worth the hassle. And even then, the mobo has to support it(it being BCLK overclocking), and only some do.

You will need a stronger CPU for most games. GPU is fine.

could go for an i3 2120 with h61 motherboard which costs less than 200 dollars......getting a new mobo will help because your current one has a core 2 quad which means it wont support i3, i5, i7 processors and the gpu is okay but, its wise to upgrade the processor first if you wanna get a performance boost in pcsx2, gpu if u wanna get performance boost in latest pc games...............

Don't get an outdated board and CPU if you're upgrading. If you're upgrading go for a Haswell chip and an 8 series board or a Devil Canyon Chip with a 9 series board.

if the op wants a low budget one , the g3258 could help, and the h61 board..

NO!. LGA 1155 isn't compatible with LGA 1150. The chipset also doesn't even support haswell.

Uh... H61? I think you mean H81. The Pentium G3258 is LGA 1150, not 1155.
