Suggestions about new to come Cpu/gfx card
hi all people,just want to say that my pc budget drop as hell as low now,so i wont be buying anithing too expensive,but in my country (Uruguay) there isnt so much to buy either,anyway,im going to buy a new processor and a new gfx card,so i have 2 options:
Cpu:
Go for a dual core 2.5Ghz 2mb cache
Or either go for a core 2 duo 2.8Ghz 1mb cache i think or maybe 2.
Thats for cpu
Now
Graphics card:
2 options
Either go for a nvidia geforce 8400gs 512 <<<sounds like crap but you tell me.
Or a nvidia 9500gt 1gb <<<sounds like my best option,but again i like your opinion.
Just to clarify i have the money to buy either the 8400 or 9500gt,and its unbelievable but in my country market there isnt much choice,and the recommendations i like to know are both for general gaming and pcsx2 too,so go ahead dont be shy Laugh

Both the 8400 and the 9500 are not very powerful GPUs. You want at LEAST an 8600 or a 9600. If that's not available, look into the ATI options.

Q6600@3.5GHZ
9800GTX
Win7 64
4GB RAM
680iLT mobo

How much more is a 9600GT? That card will run most games fine. Overclock the CPU and you'll be set.

Where do you shop online ?
I found some Spanish sites, not sure if that helps, but I would recommend these

http://www.redcoon.es/index.php/cmd/shop...28_Ghz_2M/

http://www.redcoon.es/index.php/cmd/shop..._P5QL_PRO/

http://www.redcoon.es/index.php/cmd/shop..._P5QL_PRO/

Plus, get a decent heat sink & fan, then you can do some decent overclocking.
IF you can afford it, stretch for one of these

http://www.redcoon.es/index.php/cmd/shop...DDR3_PCIe/

rather than a 9600GT.

Or, keep the 9600GT, and replace the motherboard with a P45 like this.

http://www.redcoon.es/index.php/cmd/shop..._775_P5QC/

Intel E7500 @ 4.00ghz 400 fsb / Asus P5QL Pro / 4Gb Kingston RAM / PNY nvidia 9800GT 512Mb / Creative X-Fi Music 24 / Vista 64 SP2/

@DKtronics
I dont shop online never liked it,my father works selling and buying pc parts,and the actuall market here isnt good at all at the list the most newer gfx card i can find is a 9500gt so do you think that is better than the 8400.The 8400 cost like 76 dolars and the 9500gt costs like 176 dolars,do you think is expensive? i do hehe.
@boogerthe2nd
Im not interested in HD at all so if a 9500gt will do fine in native thats all for me,i mean thats ok

Er, you are right. I got confused, apparently. Still, even those are like...the bare minimum you would want.
