System or Configuration ?
#1
Well, I just installed and configured pcsx2 and tried if it works.
It works, but it doesn't work very good. I tried FFXII and FFX and both games run with 80-90%. So I'd like to know, if my system or my configuration is the problem.
My system:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 6000+ 2x3.1 GHZ
Grafic: ATI Radeon HD4870 512MB Memory
4 GB RAM
Mainboard: Gigabyte MA770-UD3

If my system should be good enough, I need to know, what's wrong with my config.

Sorry for my not that proper English, it's not my mother tongue Wink

Thanks for help.

Yes that is your problem (your processor). Try the latest beta, it is faster.

Try using the latest beta, and using a GSdx revision like 1398 or 1406 which are known to have work good with ATI cards, you should be getting enough speed on those games.

Thanks for your replies.
I installed the new Beta and downloaded the GSdx Versions you mentioned.
If I want to start a game, it tells me that I have to upgrade my DirectX and that's the point... I forgot to tell you that I'm using Windows XP so I can't use DirectX 10.
Is there a GSdx version for DirectX9 you can recommend?

EDIT:
The program also tells me that d3dx11_42.dll and d3dx9_42.dll cannot be found when I click the configure button. It still goes on but that irritates me a bit...

You need to update your DirectX 9 to a newer build. Download and install this: http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/detai...2D8712D553&displaylang=en

It's not a new DX9 build. DX9, DX10 and DX11 get updates every few months, when you run the updater it just downloads the new files foir whatever needs updating.

Ok, now I've installed everything you told me, but it still doesn't work good. In FFXII i have 30 to 40 FPS in the starting video sequence and in FFX I have 50FPS the most time but it goes down when you see more than one person...

I think 30 to 40 FPS is a good rate to play games, the only problem is, that it also runs in slomo. Is there a way to make the game run with 100% speed even if the FPS is a little down, just like normal computer games?

No, if you don't get 60fps for NTSC games or 50fps for PAL games it will be slow, PS2 games are not like PC games. You can try using some speed hacks but that's all you can do
