Tales of the abyss advices
#1
So i was playing this game on my ps 2 and decided to try it on my pc. The game on pc looks like 5 times better than on ps2 - almost as good as tales of vesperia on my xbox 360! THe only problem is that it runs slow. With all speed hacks on (except vu cycle) it goes around 55 fps but sometimes even less than 50(i bet it will run way slower when it comes to fights). I am using pcsx2 SVN 5027 with DX10 Hardware renderer 1024/1024 resolution without texture filtering(GSDX 5027). My spec is:
Athlon 5000+ 2.6ghz x2 (it doesnt want to overclock)
Radeon 4870 1gb ddr5
4gb ram ddr2

I am looking for advices how could i incrase my fps to stable 60 without making ingame graphic worse. If there is not way to do it i would like to know if i buy I5 2500k it will run way faster?

Sorry for my english :/

It's pretty likely that your processor is holding you back, yes.

If you're willing to spend the money for it, an i5 will do you good.

Personal experience with that CPU, it is a pretty crummy one. with every speed hack, i could get FFX playable, except at mihan highroads, that killed it right there..

If you did get a 2500k it will definitely go faster.
