Terminator 3 Redemption (at one FPS)
#1
Sad
Hi everyone.

I run Terminator 3 Redemption on my PCSX2 v.1.0.0
Boot logo screen of the PS , advertise movies, intro movies and
all intro elements of the game work at full 49-60 FPS.
When the game finish loading, I got video FPS at just barely 1 FPS.

Here is the list of things that i did before I run the game:

1. I check if the game is in your comp list. It is. Fully playable.
2. I carefully read all instructions about BIOS, Sound, Video and joypad plugins . All look fine & smooth . I use default Gsdx SSE2.

Here is my computer specs:

Intel Core2Duo 6300 @ 1.87ghz 2x CPU
2.5 GB Ram
Nvidia GTX260

WinXP SP3
DirectX9

I used to play all kind of emulators including PSX1 , so iam not complete noob with emu systems. Also I know that PSX2 is heavy and complex console system that is not CPU friendly to be emulated.
But still I find very odd that the emulator run very smooth at intro movies and extremely slow after the start of the game.

Any help to improve the speed and/or any tips in general will be glad.

PS. Please don't mock on my system specs, I do now very well that is not
top tech at the moment.
Peace.

-C.

you found out the problem : your CPU is really weak.
intro movies are pre-rendered objects, whereas the main game isn't.

It's like saying :
"Howcome I can read movies using VLC, but Max Payne 3 is very slow ?"
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

Thanks . I should not try further then.

On the subject about Max Payne 3 - with this spec I run at 40-60 FPS. PC version of course.

Emulated games and Native PC games...

They're two different world...

60 FPS in PC games doesn't guarantee the same performance you got when running emulated games...
