according to this page.
There is little you can upgrade to.

I would just wait and save money.
E6700 would be the best choice but would still be insufficient in most cases

No, pentium is very outdated.
Get upgrading out of your head for now.
Wait till you have around $300 if you want to upgrade to phenom II (cpu, mobo + ram)

So all the mentioned cpus will still be not good for the pcsx2 somehow, and slow? Pentium , celeron Core2 duo 2.6GHz?

OK, let me say i would buy what you mentioned for me in your previous post:

E6700 is 2.6GHz,, what is important for me is the the game runs at proper speed that let me play it as am playing it on PS2, what fps the game may run in that cpu?

Thanks.

Varies a lot per game.
Final fantasy and kingdom hearts would run fine (on native) but games like Sotc, tekken 5 and gran turismo wouldn't even get near playable speeds.

Best processor for PS2 games is Sony PlayStation2 - used it's costs 40$ on ebay (for example Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400
6M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB The processor itself is $180.) and provide 100% compatibility and playability for all (I repeat ALL) PS2 games..

Eh, if you can ebay a 6700 or 6600 CPU and overclock it to ~3.2Ghz it'll be fine for most games.
Certainly a lot cheaper than replacing the whole system.

well for me best buy a quad core or core 2 e7500 since its wolfdale you can overclock it until with less risk cause it wont get to much heat... well intel is the best cores for pcsx2 and as bositman said.. pcsx2 depends on how much u overclock.. u overclock much it gives u more speed.. so it wont depend on stock speed.. i have my e5400 dual core 2.7ghz at 3.50ghz... with stable temp at 39C and i play FFX almost at full speed.. and kingdom hearts as of right now.. well if ur going to overclock and buy a cheap aftermarket cooler go for intel.. but if u want cheap go for amd.. but overclocking amd will need you a high end cooler.. since amd heats alot... well ur choice dude..

try this forum.. if u want to overclock.. i learned alot here

His mainboard doesn't support the 45nm wolfdale chips. At least not officially.

You've all forgotten that he has only 667mhz ram and it will be really hard to overclock anything on that, beside it's not even sure if there is such possibility on his mainboard. Even if he overclock this core2duo 6700 with all this stuff he got what he will get, 10fps in most games?
AMD Phenom II 550 Black Edition @3.8GHz
4GB DDR2 1066MHz CL5-5-5-15
ASUS Radeon EAH4770 Formula 512MB DDR5
