Hi, this is my first time trying to get a PS2 emulator. I'm a noob at this kinda stuff so I may have just done something completely wrong but idk.

I downloaded the setup stuff and got to this screen--

I clicked next, then i was prompted with this screen--

Clicking "Yes" took me to the Windows 10 update site, yet I recently upgraded to W10 not a couple of days prior.

Afterwards, I was prompted with this--

I am unsure if the problem is if I have an outdated version of DirectX, even after the Windows 10 update, or if my computer is just not compatible with PCSX2.

Here is my computer's processor/graphics information. I don't care how fast it will run, as i'm going to be playing a Yu-Gi-Oh game which is turn by turn, so long as it's at least a little bit playable.

The problem is microsoft breaking directx webupdate. You will need to update directx binaries manually.

Ah I see, where can I find these binaries and how do I update them?

Sorry if I'm asking too much, I'd probably download the wrong thing or something.

That's the thing. Since the webupdate broke IDK for sure.

You can try this one: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...px?id=8109

Maybe it will work.

Thanks, managed to get past the pop ups. Now to test an iso and see if it works, thanks.

Can't we update that popup message that PCSX2 gives, to redirect to that link instead?

It probably should be changed.

Does the dxwebsetup at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...x?id=34429 fail to work?

I think that's the one that will complain a newer DX version is already installed if you have DX10/11/12.

Blyss' link is the correct one afaik.

Yeah AFAIK that fails on Windows 10 at the very least with "A newer version is already installed." I can't test for sure though since I'm on 7 and ran it some months back.
