Tony Hawk's Proving Ground issues

Loaded up THPG a few nights ago and could not get past the intro with the red background no matter what configurations I tried. The intro simply freezes at the same point and will not continue. Here is the intro I'm referring to:

I have looked at the compatibility chart and the thread for it, here, but the fix for the bug did not work for me. Any thoughts? If you need any more info, just ask.

I'm using the git build from 12/21/15. I managed to get past the intro by disabling speedhacks entirely, but now the game has major graphical issues like wide, grey, vertical lines and at any given time only half the world that I can see is rendered. It's very distracting and eventually crashes my game.

Use OpenGL as renderer, enable hardware depth, accurate date and set blending to high. Also CRC hacks to Partial (or off) and check how it works then

Fixed the grey lines but not the rendering issues. It crashed earlier than usual as well.
