Sorry, I can't you help much more. I try on my side (but it is the linux client). In the catalog menu -> setting. You have a tabs with the path setting, on linux I need to change it with the path of the download trunk. It don't seem to work with relative path but again it might be a linux only issue. Then when I right click on translation, I can click on reference to open the code source.

"!Notice:VirtualMemoryMap" right click on it, and it will be shown by the popup menu "References: common/src/utilities/exceptions cpp:254

I just have to navigate to that part and see the original string, right?

Yes. Normally you can left click on the "References: common/src/utilities/exceptions cpp:254"

the system cannot find the file specified. how do i obtain it?

See above you must change the catalog path : In the catalog menu -> setting. You have a tabs with the path setting, on linux I need to change it with the path of the download trunk.
