Tried to record game footage, lost all of my game data instead
#1
So I was playing Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2, and decided that I want to record my gameplay of it. So I went to tools, and clicked on “input recording” cuz I thought that’s how you start a recording. I pressed “new” and created a new file. And all of a sudden, my screen blacked out and once it got back on, I saw that all of my game data are gone. Now here I am writing this forum and contemplating my life choices… So… any way to get my old data back??

Input recording is not a video recording

Graphics > Recording is where you can change the settings and Tools > Video Capture to initiate the recording

Also need the files:

Required Libraries for Video Capture
PCSX2 requires some additional ffmpeg libraries to enable video capture.

ffmpeg Windows files: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2-windows-d...ibs-6.0.7z

Extract the zip file, then place the extracted dll files in your PCSX2 folder. They should be in the same folder as the main PCSX2 exe file.

For your memcard, you can check inside the BIOS browser and hope you don't see corrupted blue data blocks, if you are still uncertain you could upload your memcard to see if something is still salvageable.
