I was using a Steel series game pad prior to the PS3 controller which had turbo buttons. I went with a PS3 controller so I could take advantage of the pressure sensitive buttons. That is the reason I am asking if there was a way to do it on a PS3 controller. Like I said, I don't know coding but I do know how to use programs like Macro Goblin and Auto Hot key. I'll mess around with those and see if I can work something out. Thanks.

Thanks for the input guys but I have it working using LilyPad svn 0.110 (r5350) with my PS3 controller.

Config > Controllers (PAD) > Plugin Settings > Pad 1 > Select the button you want turbo for under Device > Configure Binding > Put a check-mark in the Turbo box > Apply > Ok.
