Unable to start game: black screen after ps2 bios startup
#1
Hello, I'm having trouble playing a particular game: kohitsuji hokaku keikaku
I'm loading the rom from a full CDVD startup, and get the bios load (sony computer entertainment, playstation 2 logos) but just a black screen after that.

The game doesn't seem to be in the compatibilty list.
I'm able to player other games using the same bios (japan region).

I've tried resetting to default settings. Here's the emulator and system info:
Code:
PCSX2 1.4.0-20160105132032- compiled on Jan  5 2016
Savestate version: 0x9a0b0000

Host Machine Init:
    Operating System =  Microsoft Windows 7  Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
    Physical RAM     =  8143 MB
    CPU name         =  Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460  CPU @ 3.20GHz
    Vendor/Model     =  GenuineIntel (stepping 03)
    CPU speed        =  3.198 ghz (4 logical threads)
    x86PType         =  Standard OEM
    x86Flags         =  bfebfbff 7ffafbbf
    x86EFlags        =  2c100000

x86 Features Detected:
    SSE2.. SSE3.. SSSE3.. SSE4.1.. SSE4.2.. AVX.. AVX2.. FMA

Is there anything else I can do to debug this problem?

the same log after you tried to start the game would be a better idea.

Two files are attached. log1 is from a game that works and log2 is from the game I'm having trouble with. I tried visually comparing them but don't see any obvious differences that provide a clue about my issue.

No, would having a second one help? I might be able to borrow one from a friend.

I lent the disk to a friend to test it, and he got the same issue on his computer, using a US bios.
