Unofficial linux build
#71
I kept having seg faults. Turns out there was driver corruption from mixing of the drivers, as libgl kept giving errors on glxinfo. So I force uninstalled old fglrx and reinstalled. PCSX2 would keep seg faulting despite driver issue being fixed. Strange...

So I downloaded new tree and recompiled. Now it works again! So I tested GL_ARB_separate_shader_objects = 1 (instead of default -1) and this is what I got...

This is Dragon quest 8, Hero still hanging out in the church at the beginning of the game.

without the patch otherwise it would crash (but that not important). So they didn't fix neither the GL_ARB_separate_shader_objects extensions.

So basically we are almost there with Catalyst progress, but not quite. So I guess we will have to continue to be patient.

Progress are very slow. And the crash when I upload small texture is really killer.

Ok, I installed the brand new driver. I also freshly compiled latest pcsx2, no patch applied. Same graphical errors as before. So no need for a new screenshot. GSdx ini was override_GL_ARB_separate_shader_objects = -1

Of course, changing value to 1 (not -1) provoked same seg fault.

And lastly, applying the patch causes a seg fault.

hum forget about my patch. I think I find another way to upload texture. It is a bit slower but I need to test several parameters. However I m afraid that I encounter a new driver bug,... So not sure it will work! I seriously need to upgrade my driver.
