Upgrading pcsx2 from 1.0.0 to r5704 and now Mana Khemia 2 won't recognize memory card
#1
The game runs fine on 1.0.0 but with some blinking texture and tearing sprites problem so I thought I would try out the latest build and copied the memcard folder from old pcsx2 folder to the new version folder.

However the game refuse to acknowledge the imported memcards...is there any way to fix this ? I've already attached some pics in hope it might help.

The latest SVN has some changes to how memory cards work, try and SVN release 5701 or earlier and see if that fixes your issues (that's before the memory card change).

That said, I believe the devs are looking for info on games that are acting badly to this change, so you should file a proper bug report in the bug tracking forum as well.

You can also try using the latest GSdx on pcsx2 1.0.0
If I remember correctly, those problems are caused by GSdx and since some rev(I don't remember since when)the problem was fixed

You already have r5704...just copy the GSdx file you want(or all of them)from the plugins directory and paste them to the pcsx2 1.0.0 plugins directory.
Then Config=>Plugins\Bios Selector=>Plugins=>GS=>choose the plugin=>hit ok and try the game

Thank you but after doing as you suggested the blinking problem still persisted...with a tint of more roughness around in-game alphabets.

Just to be sure the gsdx files are the AVX,SSE2,SSE3 and SSE4-you don't have to copy GSnull.dll right ?

It is possible the some bug has return on the latest GSdx rev.
I can't test the game right now but try r5464(that's the newest GSdx I have...I don't update often)
http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

And about the other question,if you use pcsx2 just to play games, you don't need GSnull.dll at all.

Edit:Heh I hit the 4000 posts count Tongue2

After doing some search around here I've found out that r4600 seems to help fix the problem completely thanks to this thread

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Mana-Khem...ng-sprites

However now the old sprite glitches come back..it used to be already resolved thanks to your suggestion from this old thread

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Mana-Khem...characters

The current problem is that with r4600 there's no way to enable sprite hack like I did in 1.0.0..the hack options are simply blank.

Edit : nvm,I found out how to enable the hacks but still there's no option for sprite hack like there is in 1.0.0. Also tried enabling spritehack in gsdx.ini and it still doesn't work.

I've included the glitches pic and gsdx.ini pic.

2nd Edit : Disabling "native" seems to make those lines go away and makes the in-game texts look sharper like how it's supposed to be...however this also gives rise to another old problem....

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Some-port...ull-screen

I'm out of idea here...I'm fine with playing without 'native' but it would be great if there's some way to eliminate those lines..

Tried from r5701 with no memory card issue but the line is still there...

Looks like I have to choose either the lines or the blinking/tearing...picking one would make another inevitably arise...
