Just a quick question. Is it possible to format a usb flash drive as a ps2 mem card and load a save from gamefaqs onto my ps2 mem card without the elf program or whatever it is? Or do i absolutly have to have the software cd?

But there are many ways to do it. Look in to FMBC. http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/noobie.php

If you have a fat PS2 and a method to write files to a PATA/IDE hard drive, you can use FHDB. psx-scene.com seems to be down right now, but they had an image that you could flash to the hard drive at one point instead of having to use ule to install it.
