Using a real controller
#11
Although I havent had any problems with compatibility as far as trying to get things to work on Vista, I see your point. Does anyone know of any that will work on vista for sure, preferably the 64bit versions? If not I guess I can always go and pick up a cheap basic gamepad to use.

I tried many plugins including the overly praised "lily pad"

everything recognises my PS2 controller during configuration
but once in game, it just doesn't respond to it, like it was disconnected

So i disabled it and settled with just Key Board

Hope is not lost my friend. Sure some of the older adapters won't work with Vista. But there ARE new adapters that DO have drivers for Vista.

Check out these videos. These 2 noobs are using them on Vista:

OH BTW, that last link u posted, in the description for the item, it shows that the adapter DOES have support for Vista lol..
