Virtua Fighter 4 FPS
#1
Hi, my specs are:

AMD a6-6400K 3.9 GHz
nvidia 9600 gso 768 mb
4gb ddr3 1600 mhz ram

I am trying to run virtua fighter 4 on pcsx2 and am getting full 60 fps in menus and 60 fps in the character introductions (the thing before the actual fight starts)

But when the actual fight starts, the FPS drops to 35-40 FPS and it is laggy. I know that intel CPU work better for PCSX2, but it was not in my budget.

I wanted to ask if there is some particular setting for this game that will help the actual gameplay speed up.

I also noticed that when the fight starts, the GS usage is really low, like 4% while the EE usage is around 50%. Aren't they supposed to be the same?

Intel doesn't work specifically better for PCSX2, Intel is just faster overall.

This is your best bet:

Config->emulation settings->speedhacks

Set EE cycle rate hack slider to 3

Try it. If that doesn't work, try setting VU cycle stealing to 1 as well(not higher).

If that doesn't work, looksee here http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Low-end-P...0-settings

If that doesn't work, then there is nothing you can do.
