WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 using PSCX2 0.9.7.3876m/r3878 / Need help with my settings
#1
Hello everyone,

This is my first post so please don't slay me if I posted in the wrong section or asked a stupid question.

My System is a Toshiba Satego (yeah I know it's a laptop) with Windows 7, 4 GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2,2 Ghz T7500 and a Nvidia Geforce 8700M GT. If you need to know more just ask and I will post it.

I recently go the Beta of the PCSX2 version mentioned in the thread header and was wondering whether anybody could help me with finding a decent configuration for WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 to get the matches up to normal speed. Everything works fine, editor, intro, even the walk in but at the beginning of the match the framrate drops to about 30 and stays there and obviously the speedloss is noticeable when listening to the commentators as well. I know my laptop might not be high end but there should be a possibility to get the game working decently shouldn't there? I hope some of you can lend my a hand as I am hopeless at trying myself. If you need more information don't hesitate to ask.

Thx

EDIT: Well nearly 50 hits and no answer so far... I really hope someone can help me I basically just need a speed up of around 20 fps during matches and just don't know how to go about it.

EDIT 2: If you tell me it definitely won't run faster on my machine that's fine too, I just want to know as I've seen some footage on youtube etc. of the game working properly on slower and older systems unfortunately either without a g guide to config the pcsx2 or with a different version of the prog.

2.2 is too slow for 2009. 2011 seems to work ok with the new beta, I get 85% (estimated) speed

E2200 (2.2), 8600 GT 512

yes, I have a ps2 copy. too bad this game is horribly glitched on all systems.. might be why it works so well on pcsx2, the game is really crappy in some aspects "regal stretch" is 99% of everything regal does, including just kicks. There's thewhole titantron bugs and stuff like that. this game really isn't worth the money, but it does work.

Didnt realise it was published yet... So you are sure that the game would run on my machine? Do I have to do anything special configurating wise or just leave everything as it is? How come 2011 runs more stable and decent than 2010 and 2009?

it runs on mine just fine, and I have probably one of the lowest-end pcs here.

Okay so you would suggest getting 2011 than? How about 2008? any better than 2009 and 2010? Btw. got the fps up to about 42 during a match for 2009 but only if there are no more than two people present... shame really...

I use PSCX2 0.9.7.3876m/r3878 and great work for me.
Full screen in game and normal speed no slow motion. My game is 2011 years.

Do you mean your game is WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011? Well yeah Saiki just said that it apparently fine. Other than that if 2009 works good you probably have a better system than I do.

Saiki or anybody... what version of Smackdown vs. Raw would you advise to use than? 2008? 2010? 2011 didn't exactly get the best reviews in the world and apparently the controll system is *****. Like stated before I managed to get the game up to 42 fps during single matches with just two characters with some of the speed of the speed hacks... so is there definitely no chance of getting it up to 50 or keeping it at 42? Other than that thanks for the advise... I would really love to play a SVR Game on my laptop that has a decent career and storyline mode while I am away from home without a TV to plug my PS2 into and spending huge amounts of money on games that apparently aren't worth it Wink.
