i dunno but my laptop have its own power saving thing in the control panel..
im using xp too and lenovo laptop..try searching google for notebook hardware control..its a software im using while playing pcsx2 so that my cpu clock wont drop..
its essential for me since my laptop runs at 2.0GHz only...
try using the latest beta and see if that helps..
