What are the best settings Dynasty Warriors 3 ?
#1
Hello everyone ^^
As the title says, i would like to know what are the best settings for Dynasty Warriors 3, because i'm sick of play it in slow motion...
And it's not hardware's fault, because i can run every Warriors title at full speed, except Dynasty Warriors 3.
I can even run Sengoku Basara 2, and Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes on Dolphin at full speed, so i know that is a setting problem.
By the way this is my config

Core 2 Quad Q8400 @3.2GHz
2x2GB Corsair DDR2 XMS2 @800MHz
Windows 10 Pro x64
AMD HD 7870 2GB Overclocked

I have the last PCSX2 version from the Git
Thanks in advice ^^

It is hardware's fault.

Your Q8400 has a STP of 1100ish at stock ( https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu...40+2.66GHz&id=1041 ) likely about 1300-1400 with overclock.

Most games in PCSX2 need at least 1600 and you fall short of that. Additionally, different games have different requirements so just because you can run other games fine doesn't mean that's not the issue here. Lastly, Dolphin is not PCSX2.

Make sure you use MTVU, try EE hack at 2 or 3.

Different games, different emulators, different HW requirements.comparison is irrelevant.

This game hates speed hacks especially VU cycle stealing and ee cycle rate. Disable speed hacks and DW3 should run full speed on your system.

I use MTVU
I know, but it's so strange that a 2002 game runs so bad, and other games of the same series, but dated 2005, runs perfectly...

EE 83% GS 80% in heavy scenarios and lots of units on screen (Without speedhacks)

I'm trying various combinations, but it seems that with speedhacks it runs a little better, like 3Fps gained

why ?
is that so hard to understand that game made in 2002 is less optimized than a game made in 2005 ? moreover, devs got 3 years more to master the console's architecture and get the best out of it...
