On the least expensive laptop I can afford (i3 core), this is what the top speed is. What do you think?

Hey, what cpu might be able to play this game at 45-60fps for the least expensive? Maybe i5 core 4th gen?

Probably a minimum of an i5 4200M, but I would recommend an i7 4700MQ with a GTX 840m or higher

Ultrabooks can't run anything at full speed.

I'm not sure how similar the games run (performance wise), but I can easily run Xenosaga (the first game) at full speed with MTVU enabled. My specs are in my signature. Not sure how it compares to what Nobbs66 has.

Say that to my i5 4210U. Jak 1 is at full speed. KH1 full speed. Burnout 3 near full speed.

I was able to screen capture it at 1280x720 with smoothing and shading, it came out GREAT.
gameplay-wise though, it's very pokey.

Xenosaga will need an i7 4700MQ or faster.

You said, "ultrabooks can't run anything.", which is what I have.

The $400 one, or the $680 one?

EDIT: It's the $400 one. With upgraded RAM I think.
