What does it mean "You must dump the BIOS from your *own* ps2 console?

Well, what the subject says, what does it mean by that? :o

I found this when I was configuring my PCSX2 in the BIOS file part.

Well i have my own ps2 console, but i dont get it. Blink

Please help me.

Exactly what it says.Dump bios from PS2. It is a file aproximatly 4MB.

Uhmm, at the end it says "Note: I take no responsibility for you breaking your ps2" , so does that mean there is a possibility that my PS2 will break?

BTW, my PS2 is not converted so it doesnt play fake CD'S.

And in step C of the dumping BIOS file section, what does it mean by "Favorite FTP application"?

You need to have some basic (to advanced) computer knowledge to pull all that stuff off. You can start by googling what an FTP client is.
The dumper has been out for about 6 years and we have had no report of anyone's PS2 breaking from it, so I guess florin added that note just to cover his ass in the off chance something went horribly wrong Tongue

Basically you need to be able to run homebrew applications on your PS2.
Our BIOS dumper is one such application.
Since Sony protected the console you need to bypass that in one of the many ways.
Every method to do that requires some effort but I think the most easiest these days
is preparing a "Free Memory Card Boot" exploit. Check the tutorials on this site for hints:
