So, I decided to pop in Dark Cloud 2, rip the ISO file, and I noticed an option in Linuz to compress the iso. Does this...do anything useful, or is it one of those things that no one but developers would worry about?

Compress/Decompress works in a archiver way, like .rar or .zip

Saves space at a cost of performance? I've never tried it because of that. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I haven't seen any performance hit plus it compresses pretty well. It's a nice feature
