Basically It's the number after the first number... So by Nvidia's new naming schema, you're interested in the 6 of the 260.

I'm really sorry but I have one last question. Since everyone says that Desktops are better than Laptops, which brand do you recommend for Desktops?

If you can, build your own. Or if you don't want to build it, get a local PC store to build the parts for you for under $100. You'll still save money this way compared to buying off a company like Dell or HP, and you'll know exactly what's going into your PC etc.

Just like the guy above posted, walking to a local store to purchase a custom-built pc is cheaper than buying from companies like Dell....

Something like

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 or AMD phenom II X2 3.1 ghz
Intel chipset based board or AMD chipset if you choose the phenom CPU
4gb ddr2 branded value ram
WD 640gb caviar se16 or samsung 500gb F3
a good ~60 dollar PSU with a hefty 12v line
ATI HD 5750/5770 or nVidia GTS 250/GTX 260

I meant buy the parts individually from them and then get them to assemble it. So you still choose every part that goes into the PC.

Oh, that one is the best IDEA definetly, i know online shops which does that ( in my country) and they take no fee for assembling. Its great especialy for poeple who are not able to do it by themsleves.

RE: What is a good graphics card for Laptops?
I have to disagree with almost everything everyone has said about laptops. It is true that desktops are stronger but only because they can be overclocked easier. Overclocking a laptop comes at a high risk of overheating. pc graphics cards are generally stronger then laptops but as shadow lady mentioned, the "GTX260M would be about as good as the 9800GT."

The best duo core for the laptop that is available is the T9900 which has a processor speed of 3.06ghz which is very good at playing most games if not all.

Or you can aim for an i7 with a GeForce GTX 260M (which is available in a couple high performance laptops now a days). and you should be straight.

There's also the GeForce GTX 280M. Not many laptops have it but look up sagar's laptops and they have it available with the i7 for about $1,900 to $2800 depending on which processor you choose.

surly with a3.06ghz processor and the gtx 280m, you can handle most anything.

Yet, for the same amount of cash, you could build about 2-3 PCs that are more powerful. Or about 3-4 PCs that can handle most PCSX2 games at full speeds.

RE: What is a good graphics card for Laptops?
So a Desktop's graphics card is better than a Laptop's.

But what about the processor? Is an Intel Core 2 Duo mobile(For Laptops) is the same as the Intel Core 2 Duo(For Desktops)?
