Don't worry. They won't drop it any time soon. Microsoft will support Windows 8 until 2023.

As for Windows 10:

"@j_brorsson Well, 70.6M 32bit arch systems talked to Windows Update last month, so that's a goodly number and isn't 100% of them. — Gabriel Aul (@GabeAul) January 8, 2015"

I think you're afraid of end of 32 bits support, but I think you misread it something.

There is kernel and there are applications. Windows will likely drop the support of the 32 bits Kernel (one days), but 32 bits applications can still run on a 64 bits Kernel. If they drop FULL 32 bits supports it means that all games that don't have a 64 bits port (nearly all) will be dropped. Actually it might still be possible run 16 bits application.

I'm sure they need a windows 32 bits version for all object connected, machine that give you money etc... So Intel mights die before the end of 32 bits supports.

This isn't possible on 64bit windows, WOW (Windows on Windows) is only compatible with its half bits counterpart so you can only run 32bits lowest on 64bit windows, 16bit has gone byebye Sad

128 bits will likely never appears on silicon tech so we are fine for a long time Tongue2

By the way, short term future plan is to fix various rendering issue. Improve Linux experience.

Yeah, this is basically a more technical version of what I've been saying.

That plus the fact that we really don't gain much if anything from 64 bit is why it's such a low priority in my mind.
