Hey, created this account to ask a quick question about my specs.
I have always wanted to play games like Ico and sotc but have never had a ps2 so will my laptop be enough for the emulator? specs: Intel core 2 duo processor P7550 2.26Ghz, 1066 MHz FSB Nvidia geforce GT 130M 1GB 4GB ddr3 Ram Thanks!

Quote:but have never had a ps2 You need to have a PS2 console to use PCSX2 legally (the BIOS file has to be dumped from a console you own). So using the emulator without owning one is illegal and we won't give any support here in that case as our rules clearly state.

would a intel dual core 2.5ghz,an nvidia 9600gt 1gb ddr3 pciex, and 2 gigs of ram,be enough for playing some games full speed?

If that intel dual core is based on the core2 architecture, then yes. (That basically means, if it's a cpu made after around 2007 )
newbie here...i only have a compaq cq60 with an athlon x2 on it...2.0ghz in fact with 2.0gb ram and an nvidia geforce 8200m gpu with around 885mb on it,would that be enough for pcsx2 to run smoothly...

Depends on the game but for most of them probably not.

Excuse me, may at the first post I'll go off topic but I've tried to run the latest version of PCSX2 (0.9.8) on my computer without any good results: seems that it couldn't support the SSE2 version of GDsx plugin; so instead GDsx I've installed the GSnull plugin... now I try to run a game as Tekken Tag Tournament (so with the full compatibility according to the list) but after 5-10 minutes period time still there isn't any signals of life... could you help me, please? Thanks in advance!
