Yes.
And without exception of less.

Also, beware--
Some cards may have the DDR3 data rate,
but only a 64-bit memory bus.
Even some HD 5450 cards.

Consider this still relatively weak.
(~equal to a 128-bit with DDR2)

Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 1GB
59 euros..BARGAIN!!

GDDR3 is better, but nothing to go out of your way for.

That HD 6570 should be just what you need.
And your PSU really should handle such a card.
Unless it's something super-weak,
cause that card only draws ~60w at most. Smile

ok..today i made that move.. I opened up my PC and I looked for that PSU label.. and I have found many numbers which were like maths for me Blink..anyway.. I read two magic numbers..telling me that my pc has either 435W at the bottom of the label and another telling me something like "TOTAL 450W MAX" which is the second number at the right hand in the bottom of the label right next to the 1st number I mentioned above...(Damn I sound like a n00b..oh wait a minute!! I AM A NOOB!!!)

Upgrading to something that is already outdated is a waste IMO.

Just scrap the old junk and spend $2500 on a new Ivy Bridge rig,

It'll last for nearly a year before Haswell makes it outdated.

Wow, dude.

You should probably go back to post #1 and see his current system, budget, and exactly why that doesn't fit at all in this thread. ;P

Yeah-- they sometimes do overstate those numbers.
It would seem quite considerably in this case.

A quick search for that PSU reveals it has a single 12v rail.
It also seems that rail is only capable of 14A.
That makes it 14 * 12 = 168W.
This is what powers your main components.
Consider it what really counts,
aside from quality and efficientcy.

In optimal conditions,
that PSU would handle your CPU (65W),
the 6570 GPU (the DDR3 is only 44W),
and the little extra from your essentials.

Given a bit of age to the PSU,
and I'm not gonna promise all will remain well in the long run...

Well, it's just my opinion, though.

After all--
The new card would only pull another ~24W more than what you are now.
It's not like you're asking much more from it,
but you are working in a tight range, my friend. Unsure
