If I were to need some boost in speed while playing, I'd need a heads up on which work best and which make the game crash. Does speedhack compatibility vary for people? So if someone knows, what speedhacks work, and which cause crashing.
And I've heard that Speedhacks can mess up discs so they can't be used anymore, is this true?

Seeing as the discs are only readable, how on earth would the speedhacks mess up the discs? But if you want to be on the safe side, rip the discs to an image file on your computer so you don't need the real discs anymore.
Otherwise I would recommend you to play around a bit with the speedhacks. If they work, they work, if not, they don't.

You can do both, but just making an image is both easier and better, and it doesn't require a DVD burner.

You can also use a free alternative like ImgBurn, it's never let me down.
