You could always check it for free under Start Menu>Control Panels>System. It'll tell you the basic CPU model, clockrate and how much RAM you have. If you want specifics, something like Everest Ultimate would do the trick.

CPU: i7 930 @ 2.8GHz(Everyday)/3.6GHz(Gaming)/4.0GHz(Encoding)
GPU: Geforce GTX 480 @ 850MHz/1001MHz
Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D-E
RAM: 2x3 6GB OCZ @ 1527MHz 8-8-8-24

Well, back when I lived in the Philippines, I had an AMD K6 that burned due to overheating. Got a couple of fried CRTs, too. Granted, most modern processors tend to have fail safes but better safe than sorry. I wouldn't recommend overclocking with just the stock HSF particularly if you don't have air conditioning. During hot weather, it just isn't enough to keep the CPU cool when running heavy loads. A decent tower cooler with heat pipes should do the trick.

I think you mean humidity. Actually, it does tend to affect equipment adversely. We've had cat5e cables that have grown moldy due to high humidity even with just a year of use.

Yeah, thats right, overvlovking comes with a new cooler, I ment the normal stock, I work in a factory under about 40 degreese every day, operating a pc near my place to check in with the newest product data and demands from the boss on how many I have to manufacture, it is running quite smoothly with its stock cooler at the moment.

Thats what I ment, my dad works in the same place as me but is working under different circumstances, that means a humidity of 90% and a temperature of 40 degrees as me, his workstation needs to be checked every end of the month, many parts have seen death in that pc and also, as you encountered, cables would grow so we use special industrial cables (self made for pc use ^^) to reduce that phenomenon.
