If you insist on going with AMD and want a new processor you need to go for Phenom II.

Yeah, AMD is a piece of *****. You are better off getting intel, and maybe a better GPU. A 9800GX is good.

No flaming on AMD/Intel please. It stops here or warnings go out and posts get deleted.
You're allowed to debate the chips performance with concrete evidence of performance comparisons or useful personal experience/knowledge. But calling chips names and/or cheering for a brand like you're watching a football game isn't going to help the original poster (OP) make an educated decision.

your wrong my friend sadly wrong for starters get it right Advanced Micro Devices will always rule over intel any time you know you shouldnt give his hopes up like that.
with proper cooling and a good mobo you can easily clock your amd to 3.5 ghz
Lol.. And that's fanboyism towards AMD, the X2's won't overclock to 3.5GHZ at all.
And.. to the OP, it's your CPU that's holding you back, when it comes to the AMD X2 range, you really can't trust the clock frequencies to see how good the CPU is, when the E5200 (2.5GHZ Core 2 duo) will beat the 6400+ X2 (3.2GHZ AMD Dual core)
If you're going to buy from Ebuyer, then get the following

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148715
And if you're needing any RAM, get this kit

My brother has those 3 component's, on the stock cooler on the E5200 he managed to overclock to 3.45GHZ stable and can use SSSE3.
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHZ, 4GB PC8500 @ 1100MHZ, 4870x2 @ Stock.
