Why can't I use SSE3?

So, basically I need to get a new motherboard that uses the Intel chipset and the corresponding CPU for it right? What would you recommend? Bare in mind that I want an Intel chip that can use an x64 OS, so I can have full use of my 8GBs of ram.
My specs:

Mothereboard: ECS IC780M-A AMD 780 Socket AM2+
Processor: Phenom 2 quad core duo 2.4 GHZ processor
Memory: 8 GBs DDR2 800mhz Ram
Video card: Nvidia GeFroce 9500 GT 1 gig video card.

Even when not talking about the CPU instructions I'd recommend an intel i5 2500k CPU, it's pretty fast and useful and easy to overclock too to get extra performance if needed.
Core i5 3570k -- Geforce GTX 670  --  Windows 7 x64

Well, the only quad core of that at tigerdirect is called an Intel BX80605I5760 Core i5 760 Processor - 2.8GHz, LGA 1156, 8MB L3 Cache, Quad-Core, Lynnfield, Retail. Would that be good? Also what socket motherboard would I need to get?

The Lynnfield is a bit old today. Get the Sandy Bridge instead -- the 2500k as Shadow Lady mentioned above.

I'm on tigerdirect right now and I see an entire lineup of sandy bridges:

If you're buying an intel chip right now, it should be a sandy bridge (any LGA 1155 chip)

if you are going to buy an unlocked sandy bridge processor ( i5 2500k or i7 2600k )make sure you buy a Z68 or P68 chipset Wink
