Will a hidden partition/volume show up on Windows 7 installation?
#1
Hi guys, I've made a System Image Recovery file of my entire 100GB SSD boot drive [C], and stored it on a hidden partition [H] of my 2TB HDD.

I hid the partition using the gpedit.msc command, and wondering if it will show up during the System Image Recovery process if I replace the [C] drive with a new SSD. It would be horror if the hidden [H] drive remains hidden at that time.

Thanx Smile

You should know that almost all persons working at PC service centers are NOT software experts. All they can do is some basic things which a normal user don't even know. When I bought my laptop, they offered installing software and configuring it, but I refused. I didn't expect them much.

/to OP I never do such thing so I do not know. Maybe everyone here either. Do it at your own risk. Ninja

true, but there are some specialists in the service centers. if there is something u want to do but don't know how then u have to go to some service center

and not necessarily. when they offer to install softwares for u they are not putting for you bloatware. most probably they will put for you original licensed softwres and may give u a bundle price on everything which is cheaper than u buying all these softwares individually

bloatware often comes with a newly purchased machine and it's put there just for show
